ETFs and funds are collective investment schemes within the meaning of the Federal Act on Collective Investment Schemes (Collective Investment Schemes Act, CISA). ETFs and funds are subject to approval and supervision by FINMA. In the event of the issuer becoming insolvent, the assets contained in ETFs and funds are held separately in favor of the investors (special assets).
