«COSI®» - Quality Seal for Protection against Issuer Default

SIX Swiss Exchange has created a seal of approval for "COSI". It designates structured products that are backed by collateral and therefore safeguard investors against issuer default.

This seal of approval created by SIX Swiss Exchange represents the unique advantages and quality characteristics of structured products with collateral backing that has been arranged independently by companies of SIX Group and Eurex Zurich Ltd. Thanks to this clearly visible distinguishing mark, investors can quickly differentiate between COSI products and traditional structured products. At the same time, the seal enables issuers to highlight the outstanding quality and legal certainty of their products, and market them in a more targeted manner - a classic win-win situation.

COSI quality seal All issuers who conclude an agreement with SIX Swiss Exchange on the use of the COSI seal will receive a detailed, practical instruction booklet on the application of this seal of approval in their marketing material. Innovation of the Year 2011 Staged annually, the "ZertifikateAwards" are the leading accolade for the best issuers and products in the German market for structured products. EFG Financial Products received the Innovation of the Year 2011 prize at the German "ZertifikateAwards" for its offering of COSI products in Germany.

FOW Award 2010 The FOW Awards are conferred annually by "The Global Derivatives Magazine" to honor the initiatives of securities exchanges which, as a result of innovative solutions, vitalize the derivatives market. On 2 December 2010, SIX Swiss Exchange and Eurex jointly received the award for the category "Best innovation by an exchange in the field of product design".

Swiss Derivative Special Award 2010 The Swiss Derivative Awards are bestowed each year by Derivative Partners, the financial magazine "Stocks", and the online bank Swissquote for special achievements in the derivatives area. On 15 April 2010, SIX Swiss Exchange the coveted "Special Award" for the realization and implementation of the innovative, globally unique COSI service.
