The Exchange Traded Product Day, at the ConventionPoint in Zurich, was organized for the eleventh time already.
It was, once again, attended by a large crowd of over 200 professional investors. The successful edition focused
on current events and regulatory developments relating to financial products. In addition, there was a lively
discussion about crypto currencies.
The participants were welcomed by André Buck, Global Head Sales at SIX Swiss Exchange. At the beginning of the day,
a panel focused on the global macroeconomic situation and highlighted the impending trade conflict between the USA
and China as well as the formation of the Italian government and the current development of interest rates. Another
panel highlighted the opportunities and risks of crypto currencies and the blockchain technology. The participants
discussed their integration in a portfolio controversially. In the afternoon, lawyers gave an insight into European
regulations and described how they are changing the distribution of investment products. The day was honed with a
keynote speech by Dr. Marc Faber. He spoke about current challenges caused by global shifts in power.

Know-how and networking
During the entire day, the participants could also gather first-hand information about current trends and product
developments at the booths of 14 exhibitors. The newly gained insights were exchanged and deepened during the breaks,
the lunch and the closing networking apéro. All the presentations by the respective speakers will soon be uploaded
on the ETPD website.
