Modular interfaces and connectivity options
With the SWXess high-performance trading platform, SIX Swiss Exchange has made latest generation
exchange technology available to its clients. Participants can access SWXess exchange
services via standardized interfaces and create their own individual, cost-effective
connectivity solution.
Low Latency
On the SWXess high-performance trading platform, the average latency currently amounts to
800 microseconds. This includes a complete round trip under load. It means that
a participant order is accepted, processed and acknowledged or filled within less than
1/1000 of a second.
Proximity Services: The fastest possible connection
Participants of SIX Swiss Exchange who wish to benefit from latency in the microsecond range can connect
to SWXess via a designated Proximity Service Provider. Proximity Services allow all clients
to overcome the disadvantage of geographical distance and to enjoy the same low latency as
any participant located in the Zurich area.
SIX Swiss Exchange is currently extending its offering and establishing a choice of three Proximity
Service Providers, each of which with a unique service proposition. This provides participants
with an even wider choice of locations and services to suit their particular needs.
