Reporting Agent Examination


The Reporting Agent Examination is open to Reporting Agents who are employed by a SIX Swiss Exchange:

  • Participant or
  • a Reporting Member

Reporting Agents have to prove that they have a certain level of market knowledge before they are granted a licence. In passing the SIX Swiss Exchange Reporting Agent Examination, Reporting Agents show that they have the necessary expertise in trade- and transaction-reporting issues and that reporting is executed correctly via SIX Swiss Exchange.

Why Requirement of SIX Swiss Exchange
Exam structure The multiple-choice exam is taken online at the participant's premises. The result is shown at the end of the exam.

The questions test the Reporting Agent's knowledge as regards the content of the "Reporting Agent" module.

Pass mark: 70%
Duration / number of questions 1 hour / 25 questions
Cost CHF 200 per person

Payment is made by credit card when booking. Please note that we do not issue invoices.
Procedure The exam is conducted:
  • online at the Participant's premises under the supervision of the responsible Compliance Officer
  • for Reporting Members and others at SIX Swiss Exchange
For traders of the Reporting Members the exams are voluntary.

Should a participant not be able to provide the necessary infrastructure, the exams can also be conducted in the premises of SIX Swiss Exchange under our supervision.

Target audience Reporting Agents who are employed by a SIX Swiss Exchange participant or a Reporting Member.
Aim To acquire the Reporting Agent License
Preparation Either with a training course or independently using the preparatory documentation.

Remarks We offer the Reporting Agent training as preparation for the Reporting Agent examination.

Reporting Agents' licences will expire if they remain unregistered after two years. The examination for Reporting Agents must be passed when re-registering.
