Requirements for Participation

Institutions must fulfil the following requirements to actively trade on SIX Swiss Exchange:

• All participants are subject to control of Federal Act on Stock Exchanges and Securities Trading (Stock Exchange Act). Participants must
  • be authorised securities traders or foreign securities exchange member pursuant to SESTA
  • fulfil organisational, accounting and auditing requirements
  • comply with the rules and directives of SIX Swiss Exchange.

Once authorised, a participant nominates its own traders, who are registered in its name on SIX Swiss Exchange.

Membership of SIX Swiss Exchange is governed by the Rule Book.
