Rules

The organisational structure of SIX Swiss Exchange is governed by the rules.

These describe the tasks and powers incumbent on each governing body; they also provide information on the general principles and provisions applicable to the trading and admission of securities.

The SIX Swiss Exchange Rule Book governs the rights and obligations of SIX Swiss Exchange and its participants and traders. It is based on the principles of the Swiss Federal Act on Stock Exchanges and Securities Trading (SESTA) and includes rules on the following:

  • admission of securities dealers as Exchange participants
  • organisation of trading
  • clearing and settlement of trades on the Exchange
  • monitoring and enforcement of the Rule Book as well as the sanctions the Exchange may impose on participants and traders

A list of the changes to the regulations can found under revisions. This area contains the complete history of revisions at a glance.
