Investors in the Sponsored Funds segment enjoy all the benefits of regulated trading on SIX Swiss Exchange. They
can buy and sell investment funds just as easily as shares at any time. Launched in March 2017, the series of articles
"Funds in Focus" presents different topical investment themes, including a list of Sponsored
Funds that relate to the given theme. The team of authors consists of the fund specialists at Bank Julius Baer that
handle the market making of traditional investment funds.
The second issue in the series[pdf]
looks at following investment funds: When transacted in the traditional way on the primary market, these attract
commission paid to the fund by the investor - fees that can be avoided by trading fund units on the stock exchange.
This kind of transaction also brings the investor added benefits in terms of how his order is processed. The article
lists a selection of investment funds that attract fees paid to the fund by the investor on the primary market and
that are traded in the sponsored funds segment.
The series of articles starts with a guest contribution about gold mine funds. In the article, the authors describe the differences between
the various product categories and show their rating based on their risk/return profile. Furthermore, they point
out the advantages of continuous trading of fund units directly via the stock exchange. All the articles are
available on our website.
SIX Swiss Exchange launched the trading segment for Sponsored Funds in March 2013 together with
Julius Baer in November 2013. Currently the segment includes 421 products from over 70 leading providers.
